Drug Dealers Asleep in Vehicle, Arrested

The 37-year-old driver and 33-year-old passenger were booked into Pierce County Jail for unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle as part of the investigation.

Found Human Remains in Frederickson Area Under Investigation — Thu, 24 Sep 2026 19:15:41 +0000
PUYALLUP, WA — September 24, 2026 — On September 23, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a heavily wooded area in the 7700 block of 176th St. E. in the Frederickson area after receiving a report of human remains. Deputies responded to the area and confirmed the remains were human. Pierce County Sheriff’s detectives and forensic personnel responded to the scene to begin the death investigation. A significant law enforcement presence remained in the area throughout the afternoon as investigators processed the scene and collected evidence.  Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the remains were not immediately identifiable.  The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office will work to determine the identity of the deceased and the cause and manner of death. Animal Cruelty Investigation — Thu, 24 Sep 2026 00:01:48 +0000
On September 21, 2026, Pierce County Sheriff’s Animal Control responded to complaints regarding a property reportedly operating a dog rescue under deplorable conditions. When Animal Control arrived, they discovered 15 dogs (two with injuries) confined to small crates inside a garage, with no access to food or water. Deputies also observed signs indicating that some of the dogs had likely been confined to their crates for extended periods of time. Inside a second garage, Animal Control located two cats confined to cages without access to clean food or water. It appeared the cats had been without proper food and water for approximately five days. On September 22, 2026, a warrant was obtained to remove all 15 dogs and two cats from the property. The animals were safely removed and transported to a licensed rescue, where they will receive proper care, food, water, and medical attention as needed.
