On August 29, Pierce County deputies arrested three juveniles, ages 14 to 16, following a high-speed pursuit involving a stolen BMW SUV. The vehicle was traveling over 100 mph on Pacific Ave. S. while weaving through traffic, with two firearms visible inside. The driver, a 14-year-old male, fled on foot after the car lost two tires, and all three were taken into custody.
The incident followed reports of a carjacking at gunpoint in Tacoma and a crime spree involving juveniles. Deputies found two firearms in the abandoned vehicle, including one on the driver’s side. The juveniles were booked into custody. Pierce County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrests in a public blotter update on September 1.
The sheriff’s office also reported a domestic violence incident on August 28 involving a 44-year-old man arrested for violating a court order, unlawful firearm possession, and eluding police. A revolver was found on the passenger side of his truck after deputies used a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle.
