On August 29, Pierce County deputies arrested three juveniles after a high-speed pursuit on Pacific Avenue South. The 14-year-old driver and two passengers, aged 14 and 16, fled on foot when their stolen white BMW SUV lost two tires during a chase exceeding 100 mph. Two firearms were found in the abandoned vehicle.
Deputies had been alerted that the BMW was stolen at gunpoint and linked to a crime spree. The teens were booked on multiple charges. Separately, on August 28, a 44-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence and unlawful firearm possession after a pursuit ended with a PIT maneuver and a bean bag round deployment.
