SR 169 Closure Begins Aug. 17 for Fish Barrier Removal

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

Both directions of State Route 169 will close between Southeast 332nd Street and Plass Road near Jones Lake starting at 12:01 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, for 35 days to remove a fish barrier.

WSDOT states detours will be signed, local access north and south of the closure will remain open, and businesses along SR 169 will stay accessible. The closure is scheduled to end at 5 a.m. on Sept. 21.

The project aims to improve fish passage in the area, a common goal for infrastructure projects along waterways in the region.
