SR 9 lane reduction for fish passage construction

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

State Route 9 near Kalloch Road will operate with a single lane and alternating traffic through a bypass road starting Aug. 21, lasting until Sept. 14. The change is part of a fish passage construction project at milepost 59.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) says drivers should expect delays in the area. The project aims to improve fish habitat by addressing barriers in unnamed tributaries of Nookachamps and Hansen Creeks.

WSDOT’s project webpage provides more details.
