A 58-year-old man was arrested for felony residential burglary and resisting arrest after entering a Tacoma home while residents were inside, according to Pierce County Sheriff's Office public records.
The incident occurred on September 14, 2026, when a suspect entered a home on a Tacoma street while a homeowner was doing yard work outside and a granddaughter was inside. The suspect stole jewelry from the granddaughter's room before fleeing when confronted. Residents reported seeing a male matching the suspect's description jumping fences and running through yards. Deputies captured the suspect during a foot pursuit and recovered stolen jewelry from a bag he was carrying.
The suspect was booked into Pierce County Jail. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office reported the incident on September 14, 2026, in their daily blotter.
