Tacoma Road Closures Announced for August

WSDOT announced several road closures for maintenance and construction in Tacoma and surrounding areas starting August 5 through August 17.

The closures include the right lane of northbound SR 522 from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 to 3 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6; both directions of SR 169 from 12:01 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17 to 5:00 a.m. Sept. 21; and the right lane of eastbound SR 526 from 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6 to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7.

Residents should plan for delays during the work hours, with some closures lasting up to 35 days. Detours and flaggers will be in place to guide traffic during the closures.
