Multiple road construction and maintenance projects began in Pierce County on Monday, Sept. 8, according to Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) public records.
The most significant project is a roundabout construction on SR 507 at 208th Street South near Spanaway, which will cause one-way alternating traffic around the clock through Sept. 14. Other closures include nightly lane shifts on I-405 between Sept. 8 and 10, a northbound I-5 lane closure from Sept. 10 to 11, and ongoing lane closures on SR 515 through Sept. 18.
WSDOT notes that crews may not work every day at all sites, and drivers should expect delays during the specified hours. Detours will be in place for some closures.
