Over the weekend, Pierce County Sheriff's deputies responded to two stabbing incidents. On August 1, a 48-year-old female was stabbed in Spanaway and hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The 48-year-old male suspect was arrested for assault and violating a domestic violence no-contact order.
On August 3, a 37-year-old male victim died after being stabbed multiple times in Bonney Lake. The 35-year-old suspect barricaded himself in his home for four hours before surrendering to SWAT after chemical agents were deployed. Both men lived on the property, but the motive is under investigation. The suspect was booked for murder. The sheriff's office also reported a motorcycle collision fatality in Graham on August 1, where a motorcyclist was unresponsive and received CPR.
